Please check out my new page for Izak the child trafficker. He is threatening to return Alyssa to her "fake parents" who have promised to sell her to a "trade" is he does. http://izakthechildtraffickerexposed.bravejournal.com/
If you haven't seen Alyssa's video yet, please consider stopping by there first. It is very important to me that her story is about her and not an agency or a country.
Press play, then pause to give it a minute to load. Thank you so much for caring enough to read and watch about my daughter. Her story is posted below the video, titled "Alyssa's Story"

I am so sorry for the pain you are feeling. My eyes flow with tears for Alyssa. I will pray with all of my heart to our ever powerful Lord for your two hearts to be joined. With peace for your mind and strength for you soul. Debi
Linda,
I am an older single adoptive mom too and I have to say my heart is broken in two for you. I am just sobbing after reading your story. This is about the worst thing that could happen to anyone - to lose a child - and that it happened in such a way as this is just too heartbreaking. I am so so sad for you and for Alyssa and I will pray for you daily that a miracle will happen and Alyssa will find her way back to you. I cannot imagine the terrifying situation you were in being questioned at gunpoint and all while knowing you had to hand over your daughter. If I were not out of work I would give you every penny I have to help you find a way to get your daughter back. I almost could not get my second daughter due to losing my job a couple of months before I went to get her. That was so devastating - I could not eat or sleep - and I had not even seen her or touched her yet. Because so many places are closing to singles and I want one more, I particularly appreciate you sharing your story because that could have been me. I cannot stop crying and I just can't imagine how you must feel. May God give you peace. Jan

I know someone that might be able to help you.
Dear God in heaven! I am in tears and utterly speechless. She is absolutely gorgeous. My daughter has the same red dress that Alyssa is wearing in your video. My hear just breaks for you. I really don't know if I could survive such a loss. I just wish, hope and pray there was something we could all do to get Alyssa home. My prayers for you are strong. As they are for Alyssa.

My heart broke when I read your story. I spent some time in an orphanage, working, and when I left, I was so concerned about the future of some of the kids, I can only imagine a fraction of what you must have felt on your trip back home. Although I can't offer any words of advice or do anything to help, I hope you continue to love Alyssa as much as you do and that she can feel it no matter how great the distance between you is.
I am so sorry for the ordeal you've been through. keep fighting for her! I thought our 3.5+ year Guatemalan adoption was horrible, but reading about you being questioned by the FIA is truly terrifying. I will keep you in my thoughts and hope that your newly hired Immigration attorney can kick some butt for you! Ours got our daughter home in the end.

p.s Where in Maine? Dh is a Mainer and we spend summers in Casco Bay.
My heart is breaking for you, and for Allysa. You and her wil be in my prayers every day. Thank you so much for sharing this story- you are obviously a woman of God and I admire you greatly for your courage.
Dear Linda, I'm a freelance journalist writing a story about international adoption for marie claire in Australia. Would you be interested in talking to me about your experience? If you'd like to contact me, my email is robinson_felicity@hotmail.com Best wishes, Felicity
What a horrific story. Even after reading it, I don't really understand what happened. I started looking around on the web after I read your story and reading about Pakistani adoption in general. Anyway, one name I kept coming across was Mrs. Bilquis Edhi. It made me wonder if you have been in any direct contact with her since all of this happened and what sort of response you have been able to get. Is Alyssa with her to your knowledge?
Yes, Alyssa is at the Edhi home. I have not spoken with Mrs. Edhi personally, but I do call the home about once a week to check on Alyssa. Thank you for your thoughts.
Linda,
I just linked over from RQ. I am heartsick for you. I just wanted you to know that there is one more family praying for you and Alyssa
Can you tell us has there been any progress, in bringinging Alysa home
Anonymous, You are ridiculous! I was told by our embassy that there was NO way I could bring Alyssa home. She had been trafficked and therefore would never be allowed to come to the U.S. as my daughter. The reason I wanted my refund was to pay for the lawyers I hired in Pakistan to keep her as safe as possible. You are way off base and obviusly just trying to be hurtful hiding behind "Anonymous" Don't they teach you people in Sunderland UK better manners than that?
I love your blog... Very nice colors & theme as well as the topic you selected is superb, in final words I can say that this is truly great! www.toddlervirtues.com
